The Oklahoma Broadband Office (OBO) has unveiled the OBO Broadband Dashboard, a new online tool designed to keep the public informed on the state’s broadband expansion efforts.
Funded by taxpayer dollars, Oklahoma’s broadband grant programs are a significant public investment, and OBO officials say transparency is essential.
“This dashboard ensures Oklahomans can see exactly how and where those dollars are being used,” the office said in a statement.
Accessible through the agency’s official website, the dashboard offers detailed, up-to-date data on broadband infrastructure projects across the state. It allows users to track each project from the early stages, such as permitting and engineering, through to completion, when service becomes available to new customers.
Users can explore broadband projects by grant program, technology type, project status, and geographic area, including county lines and state legislative and congressional districts.
Interactive features, including dropdown menus in the map’s upper-right corner, allow for address-specific searches and customized data views.
