$50,000 for 50 Years

The Oklahoma Engineering Foundation was founded in 1976 by the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers to give Oklahoma students real opportunities to learn, compete, and pursue careers in engineering.

For 50 years, we’ve done the work. Not in theory. In programs and events that reach across this state. Through college scholarships, the Oklahoma Engineering Fair, MATHCOUNTS, and student leadership programs, we’ve created real opportunities for students to experience engineering and see a path forward.

And many have. 

But let’s be honest about where we are.

Too many Oklahoma students never get exposure to engineering at all. They don’t see it, don’t hear about it, and don’t know it’s a path open to them. For many, the barriers start long before college or even high school. Too many don’t see a path into careers that could change their lives. Too many never get the chance to discover what they’re capable of.

That is the gap we work in.

We are not solving everything. But we are doing work that matters. We are helping students see what is possible and expanding what they believe is within reach.

We want to do more.

As we mark 50 years, we are launching a $50,000 campaign to expand our reach into underserved counties and schools. We want to bring our programs to more students and teachers and strengthen the pipeline into engineering and technical careers in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma’s youth deserve good-paying jobs, access to college, and the chance to explore what’s possible for their future. This campaign is your chance to help make that happen.

Recognition

All donors are recognized on the OEF website, in publications, and through social media.

A bronze plaque will be installed in the Oklahoma Engineering Design Center to recognize those helping launch OEF’s next 50 years.

Donors of $500 and above will be recognized on the plaque.

The Oklahoma Engineering Center, located at 220 NE 28th Street in Oklahoma City, is home to the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, the Oklahoma Board of Architects, ACEC Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers, and the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation.

$10 helps one student participate in the Oklahoma Engineering Fair
$25 supports a student’s participation in MATHCOUNTS
$100 helps a rural teacher bring students to the Engineering Fair
$500 supports meals and logistics for students at all-day competitions
$1,000 strengthens scholarships for future engineers
$5,000 expands access to our programs to underserved counties and schools across the state.
