Support STEM Education for Oklahoma Students
OEF focuses on the “E” in STEM. We are the only nonprofit education organization in Oklahoma focusing exclusively on engineering education through our college scholarship endowment program and the annual Oklahoma Engineering Fair, now in its 44th years! The “E” in STEM education is the legacy of the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation. Friends, we were STEM before STEM was a thing!
It all started nearly 50 years ago, in 1975, when 12 engineers believed in the future of engineering education in Oklahoma. Together, they founded the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation and endowed an engineering scholarship for college students pursuing degrees in engineering. Today, that endowment has grown to nearly $220,000. Moreover, for decades, OEF has organized engineering and math learning experiences and adventures for Oklahoma students through our flagship programs, MATHCOUNTS Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Engineering Fair.
Oklahoma Engineering Fair
The Oklahoma Engineering Fair, organized and directed by the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation, is held every spring and brings together hundreds of students, teachers, professors, and the business community to give students an introduction to engineering and related principles.
