The Pryor High School Innovation Center is seeking a visionary Applied Engineering Teacher to facilitate a dynamic learning environment centered on the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum. We are looking for a professional who moves beyond traditional instruction to mentor students through the full engineering design cycle, from conceptual sketching to the realization of functional prototypes, culminating with a professional based capstone project.
We are looking for a versatile technical lead who can bridge the gap between theory and application. We value a “maker” mindset and are looking for a candidate who can leverage their unique professional background to enrich our course offerings.
While the primary focus is Applied Engineering, we are specifically interested in candidates who can bring expertise in one or more of the following areas to enhance student projects and course offerings:
- Robotics & Automation: Proficiency in guiding students through the mechanical and computational complexities of modern robotics.
- Electrical Systems: Knowledge of circuitry, power distribution, and electronic components to help students integrate hardware and control systems into their designs.
- Design & Visualization: A background in Graphic Design or CAD to assist students in professional documentation and the visual communication of their technical innovations.
- Computer Programming: Ability to teach the logic and languages (such as Python, C++, or block-based coding) required to bring automated systems and smart designs to life.
We invite high-energy collaborators and technical experts to apply. At the Pryor Innovation Center, we don’t just teach the future; we build it. If you are ready to join a team where innovation is a daily practice, we encourage you to submit your application via the link below.
