Oklahoma Municipal League
The Oklahoma Municipal League has long-maintained its popular municipal jobs board. Visit it often to discover STEM job opportunities in public works, utilities and city management and much more including open positions in Oklahoma suburbs and rural communities.
Keep in mind that Oklahoma’s top 10 largest cities also employ many STEM professionals. Municipal employment typically offers excellent benefits and generous leave.
Two more resources related to municipal employment to keep on your radar are the Oklahoma Association of Regional Councils and the City Management Association of Oklahoma. The OARC site features Oklahoma’s 11 regional councils of government, which typically employ STEM professionals such as GIS specialists and planners. The CMAO site features a job board that primarily announces city manager openings in Oklahoma municipalities.
State of Oklahoma
The State of Oklahoma is the largest employer in the State. It maintains an excellent job board featuring STEM job openings at numerous state agencies such as the Oklahoma Department of Transportation; Oklahoma Department of Agriculture; Oklahoma Department of Environmetnal Quality; Oklahoma Health Department; Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
