PreEngineering Academy Instructor (196 day contract)
Position Summary:
Instructor will teach advanced math, science and / or pre-engineering courses in the Gordon Cooper Technology Center PreEngineering Academy (10th, 11th, 12th grade). Participate in the student selection process. Ensure effective evaluation of student achievement. Support the development and integration of technical and academic curricula. Provide classroom instruction as assigned. Develop external partnerships that enhance student learning and access to higher education. Involvement in SkillsUSA and First Robotics program.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Engineering Technology, Math, Computer Science, Science, or a related technology/STEM field. Eligible for and willing to attain Oklahoma State Department of Education Provisional or Standard Certification in math, science, or engineering discipline(s). Employee must also attend required training for PreEngineering courses such as PLTW and/or AP courses.
This position is a 196-day (10-month) exempt role with an annual salary ranging from $61,887 to $85,348, dependent on education and experience, within the specified salary scale.
